A customer once exclaimed "haskaps are like blueberries on steroids!" We think this is a perfect description: haskap berries have all the flavour and nutrition of wild blueberries - and much more!

We also like to compare haskap berries to elderberries: both have exceptionally high levels of antioxidants and make a fabulous elixir to help prevent and ease cold and flu symptoms. However, unlike elderberries, haskap berries don’t need to be sweetened or cooked in order to eat them; once ripe, haskaps are absolutely delicious when eaten fresh!

Get your daily dose of antioxidants with Sweet Earth Farm’s organic haskap berries. Eat them “as is", or try our pure organic haskap berry juice or our organic haskap berry powder.

Sweet Earth Farm’s organic haskap berries are grown in Nova Scotia, where the conditions are absolutely perfect for growing this amazing superfruit. Our pure haskap berry juice and powder are made with only the highest quality berries from our farm.

Based on laboratory tests completed on our juice in April 2022 at Acadia University (alab), 15 mL (1 Tbsp) of juice is approximately 50 mg of anthocyanins - just the right amount for the daily recommended dose (Kalt et al., 2017)! This same amount of juice contains over 90 mg of polyphenols! This is over 10X and 1.6X that of pure wild blueberry juice, respectively!

It can be safely stated that daily moderate intake (50 mg anthocyanins…) can mitigate the risk of diseases and conditions of major socioeconomic importance in the Western world.

  • Haskap berries are rich dark blue in colour, higher in antioxidants than blueberries and contain more vitamin C than oranges. What is not to love about that? We enjoy them in green salads, fruit salads or with cottage cheese or yogurt and of course great on their own. However, they are very special as a coulis drizzled over a lemon cake or pancakes. The juice is refreshing mixed with sparkling water and if you are feeling adventurous a little Gin or Vodka wouldn’t go a miss! Enjoy!!!
